This topic will take about 10 Minutes
Step 1: Do research on the company
Use your contacts. Read Wikipedia, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and social media (FB, Insta). Questions to answer: in what industry is this company? How many employees? Cleveland or bigger? How much money do they take in (revenue) and how much profit do they make? Why you care: by knowing some company facts, you can ask some questions that sound smart and indicate your interest and preparation.
Step 2: Review the job description and job profile
The job description tells you what the job is. A job profile describes what you’ll need to be successful in this role. Why you care: interview questions may center around those success factors.
Step 3: If you can, consult with someone who’s familiar with the position, like a recruiter, or a fellow student who has the job. In this meeting, you learn more about the role. Focus on asking questions and listening. No need to sell yourself, that’s what the interview is for.
