Let ASME Help Start Your Career in Engineering with a Scholarship
Graduating High School students are the next generation of engineers!
The ASME INSPIRE Program and the ASME Auxiliary offer scholarships to graduating High School seniors interested in pursuing engineering degrees.
Students must be enrolled full-time in an ABET- accredited* or substantially equivalent** mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology program, no later than the fall after their senior year in high school. Find ABET accredited programs here.
These awards will be for the first year of study (non-renewable).
There are two scholarship opportunities with their own specific requirements.
- The ASME Auxiliary Lucy and Charles W.E. Clarke Scholarship - $7,000 each: For students participating on a FIRST Robotics Team
- The ASME INSPIRE/ Charles W.E. Clarke Scholarship - $2,000 each: For students pursue an engineering degree or STEM-related studies

Applications Due March 15, 2023
What Students Need to Know Before Applying:
Application for the ASME Auxiliary Clarke Scholarship is specifically for students on a FIRST Robotics team and requires an ASME, ASME Student or ASME Auxiliary member as a nominator.
Both scholarships require a letter of recommendation.
ME/MET students enrolled full-time at an ABET accredited college or university during the 2022-2023 academic year.
